Alloy Introduction

API 5CRA Duplex stainless steels UNS S31803/ UNS S31260 have a unique two-phase microstructure combining the toughness of austenitic steels with the high strength of ferritic steels. Their yield strength is approximately double that of conventional austenitic stainless steels. These alloys excel in environments containing CO2 and low partial pressures of H2S, offering excellent resistance to Chloride Stress Corrosion Cracking (SCC). They are the ideal choice for deep wells, offshore platforms, and sour service applications.

Material Application

API 5CRA UNS S31803/ S31260 is usually applied in working conditions containing CO2and low concentration of H₂S. The materials are usually processed into Casing, Tubing, Coupling and Completion accessories that are resistant to CO₂ and low-concentration H2S corrosion.

Alloy Introduction

API 5CRA UNS S32750/ UNS S32760/ UNS S39274 Super Duplex grades feature enhanced levels of chromium, molybdenum, and nitrogen compared to standard duplex, resulting in a very high Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number (PREN >40). They offer exceptional resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking in high-chloride and elevated temperature sour environments, while maintaining superior mechanical strength. They are the material of choice for deepwater projects and HPHT wells.

API 5CRA UNS S32750/ UNS S32760/ UNS S39274 is usually applied in working conditions with high concentrations of chloride ions and high-temperature acidic environments. The materials are usually processed into Casing, Tubing, Coupling and Completion accessories that are resistant to corrosion by high-concentration chlorides and high-temperature acidic environments.
